May and June 2015 are exciting months for the team behind Making Sense of Turbulent Contexts. Matthew Scott, Michelle Garred and others are working hard behind the scenes to get manuscripts finalized, websites finished and events scheduled. We are motivated by the power of inclusive, participatory macro-analysis. The creators of this web site, and the book to which it is dedicated, believe passionately in the importance of local voices.
We are also somewhat anxious about the uncertainties ahead. There’s no way to know exactly what will happen once MSTC is made more publicly available that it has ever been. Will the demand for MSTC be a slow trickle or an overwhelming current? Will MSTC be used in the existing ways that we know well, or will it take on surprising new possibilities? For now, all we know with certainty is that useful tools like MSTC are meant to be shared.
Whether you're new to MSTC or coming back to download facilitator materials, we hope this site will eventually become a frequent place for resources and conversations related to the participatory conflict analysis method known as "Making Sense of Turbulent Contexts".
